Techmi Group continues to invest in R&D in the encapsulation of microorganisms using spray drying
At Techmi, we continue to promote research and development into microorganism encapsulation technologies using spray drying.
As a result of this work, we have launched the project.
“Hiring a microbiological and chemical laboratory analyst for a laboratory developing microorganism encapsulation systems.”
by TECHMI MACHINES S.L. (file INNTA2/2025/7), which has been the beneficiary of aid granted by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI) – IVACE+i Innovation, as part of the program to strengthen and develop the Valencian Innovation System.
In a context where demand for solid-form biological products is growing rapidly, and where the properties of the final product are critical, this project aims to develop and evaluate systems for encapsulating microorganisms using thermal protective agents, in order to optimize their viability and stability during the spray drying process.
This line of work is particularly relevant for applications such as biostimulants, biocontrol agents, and probiotics, where regulations require high microbiological counts (CFU per gram of product) to ensure their effectiveness.
We continue to make progress in solutions that allow live microorganisms to be incorporated into the final product with greater stability, quality, and industrial reliability.
